Your mix sounds right at the desk. Then it plays somewhere else, and the bass is wrong. The REVEAL 802 is a near field monitor. A 200 mm (8") multi fibre paper cone works with a 25 mm (1") soft dome. Its response runs from 42 Hz to 43 kHz (±3 dB at 1 m).
Close, and aimed at your ears
It is made for close listening, 0.75 to 3 metres away. Turn each speaker to face you and bring the tweeter to roughly ear level.
One stereo source, two speakers
Feed a stereo signal from an audio interface, a smart phone or an audio player into one speaker. Connect Monitor Link to the second speaker with the 3.5 mm cable that comes with it. Set the position switch on each to its physical position, left or right.
Match it to the room
The EQ switch adjusts the tweeter level. In a bright room, choose HI CUT. In a dull room, choose HI BOOST. Otherwise, leave it on NEUTRAL.
