Hear the performance, not the cabinet.
Some evenings you do not want to study a recording. You want to sit inside it. STIRLING is built around one idea: a loudspeaker that removes itself from the soundscape. It carries the Tannoy HPD heritage, which began with monitors in the 1970s, into new, upscaled drivers and components.
A Dual Concentric heart
The 254 mm (10") Dual Concentric driver uses a paper pulp cone, in a cabinet with a dual distributed port. Frequency response reaches from 39 Hz to 46 kHz (-6 dB). With 91 dB (1 W @ 1 m) sensitivity, it suits amplifiers of 20 to 170 W RMS.

Tuned to your room by ear
Two controls sit on the front baffle beneath the detachable grille, labelled ROLL OFF and ENERGY. Both offer five positions to match how your room sounds. Get it right and the loudspeakers drop away, leaving only the musical performance.

Wood that rewards care
Here the finish is walnut: chosen solid hardwood mouldings with matching real wood veneers. Wood wax comes in the accessories pack so the wood can be cared for over the years. Its five binding posts suit a single cable run, bi-wiring, or bi-amping with separate amplifiers for bass and treble.
